Just 2 Suitcases? 2 Suitcases + You'll need more than 2 suitcases for some of these... |
2 Suitcases [First Page - Previous] <<< After praying, “Lord, blind their eyes, shut their mouths or bind their muscles” under my breath, I stood up, walked over to the 2 suitcases, now both empty, and the Bible-filled backpack. I opened the larger of the 2 suitcases, picked up the Bible-filled backpack, and squeezed it into the suitcase. I tried to act as if the backpack was empty, but it weighed 100-120 pounds and its fullness was obvious, especially as I struggled to squeeze its height into the suitcase's length. Since this was happening directly in front of the customs counter, the guards should have called me over again. I up-righted the 2 suitcases and began to pull them. I felt eyes on me and expected the guards to then call me over. I rounded the corner and still no call. I almost began to get curious. They all knew that one of the 2 suitcases contained a Bible-filled backpack. They had seen the Bibles on the scanner screen, argued with me over it, had a boss to impress, and the Titanic guard had even kicked it and confirmed it to be still full. Why weren't they calling me? Had I had more faith, I would have turned to look to see what exactly the Lord had done to them. I exited the building with mixed emotions. A part of me rejoiced and praised the Lord for his miracle, but since I had lost about 70% of my load, it wasn’t as big a miracle as I had originally prayed for... or was it? I was exhausted and my mind wasn't clear. As I stood waiting for one of the leaders to come to get me and my 2 suitcases, my thoughts drifted back to the faces of the “not yet” guard, the translator guard and the Titanic guard, and the mixed feelings turned into only praise to the Lord. If He had blinded the eyes of the guards from the start, an additional 264 pounds of Bibles would have made it. While that would have been great, I wouldn’t have had the chance to talk to the guards. And the commander most likely wouldn't have been summoned or consented to come to see me if I hadn't had such an unusual load of Bibles. Basically the equation came down to, would I again wheel around 264 extra pounds of Bibles for a chance to talk to them, including those three guards? The answer was yes, of course. The Lord also reminded me what He had taught me earlier about just pulling Bibles and letting Him deal with the success rate, which He further impressed on my heart was 100%: every Bible at the warehouse always made it into Hades. It just so happened that sometimes the Lord delays their passage so that they can be used to witness to the guards, among whom He intends to reap a harvest as well. I arrived at the safe house to find the others with drawn faces. One of my 2 team members had made it with his load intact, but the other had been caught, and they thought my entire load had been lost. When I shared that one of the 2 suitcases was still full of Bibles, their faces lit up and one of my team members - the one who had said, "I feel that I have not packed enough Bibles" - even came over and tried to lift the suitcase, a broad grin spreading across his face as he struggled with its weight. >>>
