Amazing Testimony  [First Page - Previous]

<<<  "I just have to say I'm amazed at what I have read. How does someone go from being atheist to being a bible smuggler? It's a really amazing testimony. I read through the whole site and was engaged and captured by the excitement of it all. Each time you got caught by the guards I questioned why God would have you carry such weight and then get the bulk of it confiscated but as I read through how you managed to testify to the guards and [God-given] faith throughout was an amazing inspirational read. It made me reevaluate myself completely, when struggles come my way. Do I really put up a big enough fight? What [God is doing to you] is amazing, I don't have any Christian friends and sometimes feel like I'm the only person struggling against not conforming to this society and it's so called norms. Just reading your testimony of being soldiers attacking the enemy filled me with emotion and really inspired me. Thank you for this and your other site. They really are a testimony, reaching out to many people and touching their hearts. God bless you." - Sarha

"I must say I'm amazed. I have lived most of my life in a Christian nation that had been through revival. Even unbelievers respect the power of God and find a Christian to pray when things go wrong. I have spent the past 6 months in a so called Christian nation in which you are not supposed to talk much about God and Christians are ashamed of the Gospel and i have felt so out of place last week I decided to boycott my home cell group because the depth of Christianity was so shallow and I felt always on the spot when i would share any insight in the word. After 6 months I never felt loved in a Christian way in this group though they smiled and hugged but always ended after the meeting and I felt I strong lack of fellowship within fellowship. After reading your adventures i ended on the shirt story but I had to study so didn't go on. I feel ashamed to be discouraged by my light and momentary struggle of lack of fellowship. Compared to what these bible carriers go through I've been through nothing. God bless you not only for the work you're doing but also for sharing these stories with other believers. I think most of us have become so complacent and have forgotten that God has brought us out of something terrible but that's just the beginning of the battle. we are also supposed to join hands with him to bring others out too." "Very moving your writing, made me think a lot. The passion is intense, but can I say something without you taking it wrong? (It's hard to communicate this in an email because you can't hear the tone.) We all take things differently, but whenever you wrote, "All I could do was pray" or "All I could do was praise Him", my heart was torn over the words, "All I could do..." They make it sound like, "Well, I guess I just have prayer now since I can't do anything else." Does that make sense? Instead of, "All I could do ..." , it should have been, "I PRAYED LIKE A MADMAN! I WORSHIPPED HIS NAME because THAT is what it is about. It's not ALL you can do; it's EVERYTHING you SHOULD do." (I am not yelling, just emphasizing) I assume you may see this differently because you know the context in which those words were written." Karen

(Response to Karen: I know the context but don't see it differently from you: the way I wrote those words was exactly as you described, and was sinful. Your email was written but might as well have been sung as per Colossians 3:16, as they led me to confess to the Lord, to repentance and to seek His forgiveness, so thank you, Karen, for your kind email, and thanks and praise to the Lord as per Colossians 3:17.)   >>>
