<<< To make a long story short, I was caught again. I arrived at the customs just before it closed and found myself the sole traveler. The two guards on duty gave me their undivided attention and the male guard called for me even before my bag exited the scanner.

A few other guards emerged from the back, all looking tired. I tried to talk to them but they looked irritated and none wanted to talk. And since that border crossing was about to close, I couldn't even recover the Bibles they confiscated, and had to return through another crossing three bus rides away.

I rode back discouraged. The career Bible carriers and I had prayed, sought God, knew God was stronger than Satan. Yet the Lord had not granted victory. Was it God's fault? Of course not. Then it must have been my fault, and I will soon have to share the bad news with the two career Bible carriers who had prayed for me.

I reached base long after the two career Bible carriers had left. I had a blessed chat and prayer via telephone with a group leader back in the States, then began to type this request for more prayer for my next Bible carrier run as he advised, when I realized something: getting caught shouldn't be seen as failure, but God-given opportunities to witness to the guards.

The guards need salvation too, especially since they will need to account one day for having blocked Bible carriers from taking God's Holy Word to His children. And saved guards could let Bible carriers pass when watching the scanner screen on their own. I had glared in anger at the guards tonight, but the Lord softened my heart for them.

Please continue to pray for the safe passage of my loads and the loads of the other Bible carriers*. The Hades border needs to be carpet bombed with prayer so that Satan doesn't have a chance to even lift its head.

(* I'll mention just one of these Bible carriers and call him Bob. Two nights ago, Bob made a run with two other Bible carriers but was caught for the 7th consecutive time by the same guard, who took all but the 5 Bibles hidden in his backpack.

Bob took those 5 Bibles to the safehouse, and having been separated from the other Bible carriers, didn't have enough money for the ride back to the border. So he walked back, being accosted in the dark by prostitutes, limbless beggars run by gangs, an attempted pickpocket and >>>
