Bible Load  [First Page - Previous]

<<<   Thankfully, the Lord had granted passage to the other two, and my mood lightened when I saw their Bible loads - some 250+ Bibles - stacked at the safehouse. It'd have been even better to have seen all 3 Bible loads stacked, but their Bible loads alone will lead to 1,200+ new Christians over the next few years. How could I do anything but rejoice? Would I have been any happier if my Bible load had made it and one of their Bible loads confiscated? I proposed to the other two that we pray to thank and praise God, and we shared a sweet time of prayer.

On the way back, my thoughts drifted back to the border. The flesh in me wanted to load a truck with Bibles and smash it across the border and make the guards dive out of the way, just like in the movies. But seriously, I asked the Lord, “What now? What more, less or else should I be doing for you to grant passage for my Bible load? What am I doing wrong?”

Three thoughts came to mind. First, He didn't want me to wait around at the immigration checking out the guards, etc. That was another human endeavor which expressed lack of faith. I was to just take my Bible loads through on arrival, like the other two had done.

Second, I got the feeling that He wanted me to carry a really big Bible load. The Bible loads since the last passage hadn’t been small, but not as big as the Bible load that had passed. I had downshifted because I didn’t feel worthy of having the Lord grant passage of that big of a Bible load again, at least not so soon, and also because pulling a heavier load wouldn’t be easy physically. I felt the Lord saying that the way to honor Him for the last passage was to ask for a bigger miracle, not smaller.

Third, He wanted me to disassociate myself from the passage rate of these Bible loads. Just as it is our job to share the Gospel with everyone but leave their salvation entirely up to the Lord, my job was simply to carry Bibles. What He did with those Bibles or during the Bible runs was entirely up to Him.

But all of that would have to wait. Before leaving Hades, I stopped at a travel agency and found a good ticket for the next day’s departure to the interior of Hades. The Lord had confirmed that I was to visit that region in a pretty concrete manner before I left the States, so I bought the ticket.  >>>
