Bible Run  [First Page - Previous]

<<<   whatever else Satan threw his way. Bob is only 19 years old and isn't a big guy. Lest anyone think his Bible run was a failure or too much effort for just 5 Bibles, those 5 Bibles from his run will lead to 25 souls saved based on the 1:5 average ratio of new Bibles to new converts in Hades. How far shouldn't we walk for even one saved soul, let alone 25!)

Please also pray for when my Bible runs become witnessing sessions. Please pray for English speaking guards or for someone to come along who can interpret. Please pray for the Lord to prepare the hearts of the guards He intends to touch, and for Him to give me the words to utter. And please pray for the Lord to work a miracle not of blinding their eyes, but opening them spiritually so that they can see the living God, repent of their sins and become His double agents through whom Bible runs can pour His living water into Hades.

After emailing my last update, I took 1 suitcase, 3 small bags and what turned out to be 39 Bibles, and headed out for another Bible run. I didn't take more Bibles because I had to recover the 150 Bibles from last night's Bible run, and if this Bible run became another witnessing session, I'd be stuck with more Bibles than I can carry.

The first Bible run went smoothly. I had the Bibles in the small bags and put the empty suitcase into the scanner, and passed without incident. It was still the Lord's providence that I wasn't told to put the small bags into the scanner, but I have to admit that had I had more faith, this Bible run would have featured a heavier load.

After bagging up the 39 Bibles at the safehouse, I returned to the border to pay and recover the 150 Bibles from the previous night's Bible run, and was told to pay double the fine quoted the night before (fine doubles daily). Because I had been caught so late, the guards had told me to return the next day to recover the Bibles. When asked if I would still pay the same-day fine, the male guard had said yes.

It took a while to relay that to cashiers. Finally, one of them told me to follow him, so I did. To my dismay, the place he took me via a detour turned out to be the guards' station; he apparently wanted me to identify the guard who had told me that I could pay the same-day fine. I had dressed differently from the previous night's Bible run to attempt another Bible run at this crossing, but now the guards were checking me out from head to toe.  >>>
