Border Guards [First Page - Previous] <<< When I made the Bible run the day before about an hour earlier than on this occasion, there had been 3 customs border guards. Today there were about 10 border guards! And instead of the majority of them being seated staring at the scanner screen, 7 or 8 border guards were standing right up against the counter staring out my way. In fact, so many border guards were standing up that I couldn't see those seated behind them watching the screen. Given that my bags dwarfed anything anyone else was carrying, I thought it odd that none of the guards looked at me. As I neared the end of the customs counter, a tall male guard rounded the corner and began to walk toward me. We were on a collision course yet I felt complete peace, so just kept walking straight ahead at the same speed. About 6 feet from me, he veered slightly to my left and began to address the bag of a woman (I think) that was about a third of the size of my smaller bag. Then it occurred to me. He never saw me, my shirt or my bags. None of them had. Satan had posted extra guards but God had made me invisible. Walking out into Hades, I actually didn't feel like exploding in jubilation this time. Instead, I was overwhelmed by a sense of unworthiness. God had granted a mighty miracle, albeit in response to your prayers, but I had been on the receiving end of it. I lowered my eyes and said to the Lord, "Lord, this kind of thing happens to other people. What are you doing letting it happen to someone like me?"  Above are the Bibles from the two bags just before they were bagged up at the safehouse. They are the answer to your prayers. All glory, honor and praise to Jesus Christ! >>>
