Male Guard  [First Page - Previous]

<<<   male guard who probably wanted to impress his commander came up from the left and ordered me, “Now bring your luggage over here!”

When I brought one of the wheeled bags to the male guard and the clerks began to unload it, the male guard continued, “Take your Bibles back and don’t bring them anymore to cause trouble!”

I looked at the male guard and said, “You think I am here to cause trouble? Do you think I enjoy carrying these bags? I am a businessman from America. I took my time and my money to fly here to bring these Bibles to the Hades people for free. Why do you say I cause trouble?”

The male guard stared at me in silence, so I continued, “Look, It’s trouble for me to carry these bags. Nobody would have any trouble if your government would make more Bibles available so that your people don’t have to ask foreigners to bring them Bibles.”

The male guard retorted, “We don’t need Bibles in [Hades].” When I asked why not, the male guard said that they believed in a different god, and then proudly added, “But I am atheist, so I don’t believe in any god.”

I said, “Good, could you have an opinion about Titanic without having watched Titanic?” The male guard asked, “What do you mean?” I said, “You know what Titanic is like because you have watched Titanic, right? If someone said things about Titanic without having watched it, you’d say go and watch Titanic first, right?” When the male guard said yes, I told him, “Well, you’re saying things about the Bible but you have not read the Bible. If you read the Bible and then tell me it’s not good for Hades, I will shut up.”

The look on his face changed, his eyes lit up and he became flustered. I thought he might have misunderstood me as having told him to shut up and was about to clarify myself when he slowly said with a pensive look, “Maybe... I read this Bible.”

It was now my time to be surprised. Just then, another guard  >>>
