<<<  fingerprint had been everywhere and His timing had been perfect. He had routed me away from the first border crossing. He had had me wait and let the first two buses pass. Had I been a few seconds earlier or later to the scanner, I would have missed the family with the large bags.

I sat in the bus moments later looking out the window, but my thoughts were elsewhere, marveling at the Lord's providence and timing, and intensely grateful that He would use someone like me to carry His Holy Word.

Today, the Lord granted an even more remarkable miracle to another Bible smuggler. He tried to just walk past the guards, who told him to put his bag through the scanner.

(Basically you can do one of two things: (1) put the bag into the scanner right away, in which case the guards think you have nothing to hide and may not give the scanner screen their focal attention; or (2) try to walk past the guards. If you make it past them, great. But if they stop you and tell you to put the bag into the scanner, your bag gets focal attention on the scanner screen.)

He put his bag in the scanner as he was told and saw no fewer than 4 guards staring at the scanner screen. His bag came out the other end, he picked it up, and began to walk away from the guards, expecting them to start calling him. They never did. The Lord had either blinded their eyes or shut their mouths so that they couldn't speak.

While I was writing this, another Bible smuggler walked in and shared a few more war stories, including one of a small old lady from the States who put her bag into the scanner, put her hand on the machine and said three words: "In Jesus' name!" The machine broke right then and there and began to smoke.

Earlier on, I was talking with 3 other Bible smugglers. Two of them and I were talking, half in jest, about ways to break the scanner with acid, etc. The third guy - one of the leaders - listened with a smile, then chimed in  >>>
